Auction Notices- Sign up to receive
our auction notices via postal mail or e-mail, and check the website frequently as we are
constantly posting updates.
Catalogs- Print catalogs are
available for a small fee for all of our premium sales. These catalogs are typically
available a few days before the sale. Our on-line catalog is available free of charge and
features photographic images of all lots being offered for sale. Please check the on-line
catalog frequently as new lots are added as they enter the gallery up to two months in
advance of the sale.
Gallery Preview- Stamford Auction
typically holds preview and inspection hours before each sale. All items are sold
as-is so we encourage buyers to thoroughly examine all items and use the
allotted time to meet with our experienced staff and voice any questions or concerns.
Live, Telephone & Absentee Bidding-
Items sold in our premium sales are sold in numerical order and as such we are able to
accept both telephone and absentee bids. Preferably all bids should be submitted one hour
before the start of the sale, however we will make every effort to accommodate bids
submitted after that time and throughout the sale. We cannot execute bids for buyers who
have not physically previewed the item unless we have a signed condition report,
returned via postal mail or fax. Please keep this in mind and arrange for your
absentee and telephone bids accordingly as we cannot arrange for condition reports within
an hour of the start of sale. Our facilities are heated and air conditioned and
refreshments are available for the comfort and convenience of live bidders.
Buyers Premium- There is
a 20% buyer's premium on all purchases. We offer a 2.5% discount for Cash or
Check. Any purchases made through eBay are subject to a 22.5%
buyer's premium with no available discounts.
Payment- Stamford Auction accepts
MasterCard, Visa, Personal checks (with proper identification) and cash. All payments must
be arranged within 48 hours of the sale.
Merchandise Pick-up, Delivery & Shipping -
All payment and property removal must be arranged within 48 hours of the sale. Stamford
Auction offers weekend pick-up hours by appointment, or we can arrange for delivery to
Fairfield and Westchester Counties, and Manhattan for a small fee. Shipping services are
available through UPS at the buyers expense. We can ship through alternate carriers as
long as the buyer makes all necessary arrangements and is responsible for payment.
